Computer Programmer

Computer programmers write and test code that allows computer applications and software programs to function properly. They turn the program designs created by software developers and engineers into instructions that a computer can follow.

What Hours Would I Work?

Typically, students will work the normal 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. workday.  Some of the positions will work a more variable schedule and may be on call.

Where Can I Live?

With this degree, students can live in Southwest Virginia or anywhere in the nation.
