Purpose
This course is designed to allow the student to learn entry-level skills in each of the eight areas of automotive service and repair.
These areas are defined by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). The eight areas are Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, Engine Repair, Heating & Air-conditioning, Manual Drive Train & Axles, and Suspension & Steering. Students will have the opportunity to earn up to 26 separate automotive certifications through ASE and the National Coalition of Certification Center (NC3).
